Lisa C. Brunner offers lessons in violin, viola, and cello to students around the country from her online music studio.
After playing the violin for over 25 years, Lisa really just wanted to do more of what she loves-- playing the violin!, and was encouraged to start teaching by her teacher and mentor, Susanna Sonnenberg. Lisa has participated in the American String Teacher's Association and has attended the national conferences in years past. She has performed with a number of community orchestras, including the Edgewood Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Philharmonic in Pittsburgh, PA, and the Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra in the Las Vegas area. Lisa has played in recitals, the Chartiers Valley High School Orchestra, and was accepted to the 2006 PMEA District Orchestra. Lisa can’t remember a time before she learned how to play the violin; it has brought her great joy. Her favorite pieces to play are the Bach Double Concerto in D Minor and The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Lisa believes that we are all life-learners of music, and that it is essential to continue her own musical studies. She is currently studying Bach's solo violin works.

5 Stars! -Wedding Performance
Lisa was so detailed and professional we met up a couple times before the wedding she wanted everything to be perfect and it was! She has a wide range of music to offer and is very personable and easy to reach! I will recommend her to anyone I know having a wedding! Thank you so much for being apart of our day!

Lisa, I can’t thank you enough for making our wedding day perfect. We got married at the Walled Garden in Mellon park and Lisa could not have been more accommodating. I am in 5 weddings this summer including my own and she went above and beyond to work around my schedule and make sure everything went flawlessly. She gave us so many options and was nothing less than professional. Not to mention so reasonably priced!! Thanks again Lisa we LOVED working with you.

I would highly recommend Lisa Leake to anyone looking for a violinist for their special day. Lisa performed at both my Catholic wedding and cocktail hour. She was able to perform anything from classic church music, to today’s hits, and even Disney songs . She was very professional and accommodating to any requests we had.

isa is so great to take lessons with! She is patient and kind and very knowledgeable! She moves at exactly the right speed- challenging but manageable 'homework'! I would highly recommend!

I absolutely love Lisa's teaching style! She made me feel comfortable in the class even though I was dreading being on a web cam. I'm very sensitive to criticism as I take it to heart but Lisa was kind, knowledgeable, and personable. I couldn't recommend a better teacher for the violin. I've wanted to play all of my life and I look forward to learning more with Lisa.
